ABOUT US
Who we are
Quarantet is a unique ensemble that offers something special to those who experience our music. Our members are united by a shared commitment to make a positive impact in our community. Despite the many challenges posed by the pandemic, we have persevered and continued to provide the healing power of music to those who need it most. We have collaborated with hospitals, nursing homes, schools, and other organizations, bringing the joy of music to the sick, the elderly, and the isolated. We are proud to share our passion and talents with our community, and we are deeply grateful for all the support we have received. As we continue to navigate these uncertain times, we remain committed to our mission, and we look forward to the many opportunities ahead to share our music with those who need it most.
Our Beginnings
Quarantet was formed by six friends who shared a love of music and a desire to make a positive impact in their community during the COVID-19 pandemic. As high school students, they were acutely aware of the impact that the pandemic was having on their community, their loved ones, and their own mental health. It was a dark time, and they were searching for ways to assist others and to bring light to those who were struggling. Thus, they decided to combine their passion for music and desire to help through Quarantet: a fusion of two words that embodied their shared experience during this time, Quartet and Quarantine.
The formation of Quarantet was not without its challenges. As high school students, they had to juggle demanding school schedules and extracurricular activities while simultaneously rehearsing and performing. However, as word spread about their mission, more and more people became interested in joining their cause. With each new member, their performances grew in scope and quality. What began as a small ensemble of friends quickly grew into a dynamic and flourishing musical community.
