PYLUSD students form music group to help spread joy throughout the community
APRIL 17, 2023
During the pandemic, several Placentia-Yorba Linda Unified School District (PYLUSD) student musicians formed a group called the Quarantet (for quarantine/quartet) to share their love of music with others. They performed several times at senior centers and hospices to help lift the spirits of individuals within the community.
Over the last three years, the group has grown to 10 musicians and is still going strong! On April 16, they were recently invited to perform at the Richard Nixon Library as a part of the Sunday concert series. Together the students performed five pieces for attendees.
The group is made up of students from Kraemer Middle, Yorba Linda High, and Valencia High. Way to go!

"The Yorba Linda Quarantet was the perfect musical performance to have at the State of the City event. Their sound was appropriate and very fitting for the elegance of the event. Their dedication to practicing their craft was evident, and we received a number of positive comments from guests regarding the music."

"Thank you Quarantet for providing our Brea seniors with a lovely performance at our Father's Day Party! All of the players were extremely professional, kind, and very talented. Our seniors felt very special by having you there. We appreciate all you did for us and can't wait to have you back again!"

The Quarantet is wonderful! The players are young but quite professional. They arrive early, they start playing on time, and mostly they play beautifully. Our residents love coming to performances by the Yorba Linda Quarantet!
